THE JUMPSUIT

HOW TO WEAR A JUMPSUIT

Jumpsuits aren't always the easiest piece of clothing to pull off. Personally, I've avoided this trend in the past because I've been scared of choosing the wrong fit, wrong shoes and never knew which accessories to add in order to complete the look. My stylist Alexandra Renee Scott says the trick to making this look work is all in the styling. Follow her simple guide below.

If you're looking for something elegant, sexy, and chic for a night out look no further… This black Michelle Mason jumpsuit is a real head-turner. I was drawn to this jumpsuit because of its double gold buttoned utilitarian detail on the front, which has been a huge trend. The slight flared hem gives this silhouette the perfect touch and makes your legs look magnificent. I paired this look with a beautiful yet minimal Eddie Borgo wrap around necklace to top it off.

Make a statement,

A deep, plunging neckline is hella sexy so why not make it even more hella sexy with a necklace that compliments the overall look and adds visual balance.

Elevate your getup with black patent and/or suede ankle boots like the Phillip Lim pair shown above. Black patent ankle boots complement the jumpsuit's wide legs and cropped hemline.

For an edgy take on Summer style, try pairing a jumpsuit with white patent/leather ankle boots. A white pair feels incredibly cool and forward right now. Street style stars and A listers have all been rocking this trend as of lately. Why not try it out for yourself for a look that is so unexpected and fresh.

Are crowns fashion's newest it-girl accessory? Yes, they are the newest fad to hit the fashion crowd and this one was designed by hair stylist Trace Henningsen. This makes the look prim, yet so not proper. Wearing a crown for a regular day at work might be a bit much, so why not try wearing one on a night out with your girls or maybe a music festival?

Since this outfit is already a bit over-the-top, you'll want to proceed with caution when it comes to the shoes. Go for something very simple and chic like these Lena Erziak strappy heels.
